There MUST be something someone knows will put an end to this problem! Thank you. I seriously need help. I have asked once before and was told - and given the link to - download and install the latest driver, which I did exactly as told and it seemed to help for a couple of days.

This was in December Recently within the last two weeks, my Wi-Fi won't stay on more than 2 minutes much of the time. I came back and asked for help again on my original question a fortnight ago and NO ONE got back to me.

I am positive I never marked my problem resolved. My wifi had been working fine until a couple months ago. Now, I lose connectivity constantly.

I have searched forums and tried everything I can find. Nothing is wrong with our router, as all other electronic devices in the house are connecting to the internet just fine. It is located in the same room, and never had issues connecting to it before. I rolled back to Windows 8.

I uninstalled the driver and deleted the software, then restarted. Checked to make sure the wireless encryption is WPA. Is there anything else I can try? I use this computer for my business and need it to work. Nothing I have tried has solved the issue. I have done nearly all the same apart from I can't roll back to Win8. I have gone through the boards reading messages which are about this subject and I have found no one receiving a satisfactory response or fix.

Surely since this is not just me or one or two others but a major problem for many that someone would know the actual fix! And if you don't, could you find out first before giving directions to things which won't work? I have had this laptop for 2 years and it worked very well til the last while. Yes, my warranty is expired - my business wasn't doing well enough at the time to renew it.

There was an offer at the time to get a sizeable amount off to renew but when I did go to renew, it had expired! Although it was still showing active. I was going to call HP for a walk through of possibly changing settings to help but found they charge but craftily do not tell how much they charge so I didn't want to realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download involved in that as I can't.

I would truly expect to find expert advice here, otherwise would it be sanctioned by HP? I am trying to keep my business afloat but I spend more time trying to get re-connected than anything else! My time is just as valuable as anyone elses. I need a real fix for this problem, not another let down.

I have unticked the box for power management, I have reinstalled the driver. Would my battery have anything at all to do with it? It is dead and I have to keep the power plugged in to use laptop. Not optimal, I know.

I had the same driver in my old Dell which I miss so much! But here it is 11 years later and I have the same wifi adapter in my HP. I can't even get back my original driver as I was instructed to uninstall it when I installed this one. I am begging for someone who really knows what to do to answer, realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download.

I've got problems enough without this and all. Many thanks in advance. Please check if the wireless adapter is enabled in device manager check if there are any errors. Recommend you to connect to 2. You can also refer to Microsoft forums Post for assistance. I brought up the link to HP pc troubleshooting, realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download. Is there something there which I must do after bringing up cmd.

Also, I'm not quite sure what to change from disabled to enabled. The first thing is And Note: I saw another person mentioning he did this but if I'm not mistaken it didn't fix problem. Check to see if wireless adapter is enabled in device manager. Of course it is. I couldn't be on Forum if not. So that is a yes. Connect to 2. And if it is saying "channel width for 2.

I am assuming from reading it that as long as it says "success", I am done? If it does not then I must refer to the troubleshooting information? Sorry to be such an idiot but that is why we need techs in the world. I realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download await your verification or non-verification of whether I am understanding this per your instruction. I can't afford a misstep I am sure you can appreciate. Many thanks. I have copied all thos directions to Word so I have them.

The two things I don't see an answer to are my two questions regarding The other was about the Or does any of this even matter until I have installed the new one?

Sorry I'm so thick. I'm getting ready to do this now, realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download. I suppose if you never hear from me again it all went pear shaped. No computer tech, me! Chimney, please, before I go further - It still confuses me. The directions I got from the HP site seems to have you install the new driver right after you unistall the old and THEN to realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download command prompt. It seems to me that you say to uninstall the old, turn comp off and on a couple of times, do command prompt and THEN install new driver?

Open device manager by doing a right-click on the Windows button, realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download. Uninstall the wireless adapter, delete the driver when prompted. Restart the computer couple times. Install the downloaded driver. Restart the computer. Open command prompt as administrator.

Type the command and hit enter. You would get a prompt saying success as shared in the screenshot. You can close the command prompt window.

Based on the specifications of your computer. I am not sure why you see a 'd' option there. Please set it to 'n' as 'n' provides the maximum speed for the internet or wireless connectivity. Your other concern about 20hz or auto. I would recommend you to leave it as auto as most of the ISP internet service provider recommend it to left at auto.

You can check with you ISP if you want. Feeling like I'm in some sort of Twilight Zone now. Thank you, realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download, by the way, for the detailed explanation. I went to Device Manager and deleted the Realtek driver.

Experienced at this bit, have done it before 2x's. Next, I went to my file where the pre-downloaded Railink driver lives and right-clicked to install. Ticked agreement box and carried realtek rtl8188ee driver windows 10 download but it starts asking if I want to overwrite this file and that file.

I panicked after saying yes to the first one, I think it said data. Then came data1. Do keep in mind that I DID tick the box where it asks if I wanted for the driver software to be deleted when I uninstalled the driver. This is why I panicked because I thought all files regarding this driver would be gone, no overwriting needing doing.
